The Indian Navy 10+2 B. Tech Entry is a special entry scheme for young individuals who have completed their 10+2 education and wish to join the Indian Navy as technical officers. Indian Navy had released the applications for unmarried male and female candidates (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India) to join the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for a four-year B. Tech degree course under the 10+2 (B. Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme for Executive & Technical branch.
The candidates have been shortlisted by, who will be then followed by the SSB Interview. Here are some tips for the candidates to prepare for the interview:
Be familiar with the OLQs
The Officer-like Qualities (OLQ’s) play an important role in the interview. All the OLQs are seen through the tasks you perform at SSB. So, it is a must for the candidate to be familiar with these qualities and to develop those in his personality. In the event that there is some activity, similar to a general discussion with your friends, attempt to include whatever number OLQs as could be expected under the circumstances in it.
Understanding the Pattern of the
Stay Positive and Confident
SSB testing rotates around the trial of your personality in optimism in extraordinary cases. This is one of the hardest questions asked by the SSB interviewer. These stages include tests like picture perception Description test and Story Narration and description test. The process is further accompanied by a psychological part, which is distributed in 4 tests.
Focus on your Communication Skills
Duringthe Narration (PPDT) screening, the communication skills including the non-verbal communication of the candidate will be assessed. Thus it is crucial for the aspirant to have strong communication skills.
Have a deep knowledge of the current affairs
As a defence officer, it is very important for a candidate to have a proper and complete knowledge of the happenings going on all around the world. From the field of politics to external affairs, a candidate should be aware of all the happenings from the point of view of the defence forces.
You must have in-depth knowledge about certain topics
SSB interview also has recurring topics in GD. Hence, it’s crucial that you read the common topics like Indian Politics, History of India, India and its current affairs, Armed Forces in India etc. Read, Read and Read and make notes of what you read.
Maintaining your physique
Physical fitness is the foremost thing, a candidate, who is an aspirant of armed forces should take care. A defence officer should be fit physically as well as mentally but one will be mentally healthy only if he is physically fit first.
Know everything about the place you belong to
Sometimes, there can be more questions about the place you belong to. The interviewer can check your awareness through this. Thus, it is advisable for the candidate to be fully prepared about your own place and try that there should not be anything, you don’t have any clue about.
Furthermore, questions related to historical significance, population, language, ethnicity, governance, notable personalities, cuisines, art & culture etc of your state/town can be raised by the interviewer as follow up questions.
