Educational Qualification for Indian Navy 10+2 B. Tech Entry
The Indian Navy has set specific eligibility criteria for the 10+2 B. Tech Entry, ensuring that candidates possess the necessary educational qualifications to excel in technical roles within the Navy. - Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examinations from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII)
- Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) -2024 (for B.E./ B. Tech) exam. Call-up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) – 2024 All India Rank published by NTA.
Age limit for Navy 10+2 Entry Schemes 2024

Selection Process for Indian Navy 10+2 B. Tech Entry 2024
The selection process for the position of Technical Engineers in Indian Navy is a comprehensive process which involves the following stages to identify whether the candidate is literally eligible for serving in the army:
Shortlisting of Applicants:
The cut-off for shortlisting candidates for the SSB (Service Selection Board) interviews based on the JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) 2024 will be determined by IHQ MoD (Navy). It is mandatory for candidates to mention their rank as per the Common Rank List (CRL) in their application.
SSB interviews:
The SSB interviews for the shortlisted candidates will be conducted in Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, and Visakhapatnam starting from August 2024. The selected candidates will receive the call for the interview through email or SMS, provided by them in the application. Thus, it is mandatory for the candidate that he do not change his email/ phone number till the exam is done.
SSB interviews will be conducted in two stages. Stage I Screening test consists of an Intelligence test, Picture Perception and Group Discussion. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II test comprises psychological testing, Personal Interview and Group testing which will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx. duration 3-5 working days).
Merit List:
A merit list would be prepared based on SSB marks. Candidates declared fit in the medical examination would be appointed subject to police verification and character verification & availability of vacancies in the entry. Candidates declared fit in the medical examination will be appointed as per the availability of vacancies in the respective branch.
