NDA 2025 Exam: Dates (OUT), Notification, Application Form, Age Limit & Eligibility

NDA 2025 Exam Dates have been announced. The examination will be conducted through pen & paper-based mode. National Defence Academy (NDA) is conducted at the national level two times i.e. April & September, every year. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is authorised to conduct the NDA I & NDA II examinations.

NDA 2025 Selection Process

The selection process for NDA 2025 involves two stages: a written examination and an Intelligence & Personality Test conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). Here’s a detailed overview of the selection process:

  1. Written Examination: The written exam comprises objective-type questions covering Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT).
  2. Intelligence & Personality Test (SSB): Candidates who clear the written exam undergo an SSB interview to assess their intelligence, personality, and suitability for the defense forces.
  3. Final Merit List: The final selection is based on the combined scores from the written exam and the SSB interview. Candidates who make it to the merit list are offered admission to the NDA

 Eligibility Criteria

Here, Col Chamola’s Doon Academy has provide that candidates must check & fulfill before filling the registration form:

Nationality

  • Candidates must be unmarried citizens of India, Bhutan, Nepal, or Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1, 1962, to settle permanently. Alternatively, they can be persons of Indian origin who migrated from specific countries to settle in India permanently.
  • Certificate: Gorkhas subject of Nepal will be required to produce a certificate of eligibility which must issued by Govt. of India.

Physical Standards

  • Candidates must meet specific physical criteria including running 2.4 km in 15 minutes, performing skipping, push-ups, sit-ups, chin-ups, and rope climbing to specified minimums.

Qualifications:

  • Air Force & Naval Wings (Cadet entry scheme): To be eligible, aspirants must have passed the 10th & 12th examinations with PCM as compulsory subjects.
  • For Army Wing or NDA: One must pass the 12th level or its equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Appearing: Candidates who are appearing in their 12th class will also be eligible to apply.
  • For Air Force, Naval Wings, and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy: Candidates should have completed 12th grade (HSC) or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board or university. Candidates appearing in the 12th grade are also eligible.

Other Eligibility:

  • Gender: Unmarried male & female will be eligible to apply. No marriage will be allowed until aspirants have completed their training.
  • Age: The age of the candidates should lie in between 16.5 to 19.5 years.
  • For NDA I, aspirants must be born between 2nd July 2006 to 1st July 2009.
  • Medical Fitness: Candidates must fulfill all medical requirements set by the authorities.
  • Aspirants who have resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from training academies will not be able to apply.

NDA 2025 Syllabus

NDA Syllabus will include topics from mathematics, English, general knowledge, chemistry, current affairs, etc.

In the section below, candidates can check some important topics of different subjects:

  • Mathematics (Paper I): Analytical geometry of two & three dimensions, Integral Calculus & differential equations, Trigonometry, Statistics & probability,  Algebra, Matrices and Determinants, Differential Calculus, Vector Algebra.
  • English (Part A): Comprehension and cohesion in extended text to test the candidate’s proficiency in English, Grammar and usage, vocabulary etc.
  • General Knowledge (Part B): It will include topics from the subjects i.e. Physics, History, Geography,  Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography and Current Events.

Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam: Exam will be held through Pen-paper based (online mode).
  • Types of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) wil be asked in the exam.
  • Language of Paper: Question paper will be available in English & Hindi languages.
  • Duration: Total 5 hours will be provided to solve the paper.
  • Sections: There will be two sections in the exam i.e. Mathematics & GAT.
  • Negative Marking: There will be negative marking of 33% in the assigned marks.

NDA 2025 Admit Card

NDA 2025 1 Admit Card will be released online from the the fourth week of March 2025 for session I. Candidates must download their hall ticket a few days before conducting the exam. Admit card for NDA 2025 will be available through login details only. If candidates find any discrepancy in details, they must ask for the correction authority, immediately.

NDA 2025 Result

Results will be declared through online mode in PDF format. It will be announced in the first week of May 2025 for NDA I & in September 2025 for NDA II. Eligible candidates will need to visit the website to check NDA 2025 results. Candidates who have qualified the examination will have to register themselves for a further procedure within two weeks

NDA 2025 SSB Interview

Candidates who have qualified for the written test of NDA 2025, will be able to go through the SSB interview process. It will be the final stage of NDA. Candidates will be required to report as per the time and date given on call-up letter for the interview. The selection procedure will be done in two stages psychological aptitude test & intelligence test.

SSB interview session will be completed in 4-5 days. Interview session will be started from May/ June 2025 for NDA I & for NDA II it will be started from September/ October 2025. Final selection of the candidates will be done only after interview rounds. Shortlisted candidates will be required to report at the reporting centre for document verification with required documents
